Welcome to VPK
Voluntary PreK Information
Voluntary PreK (VPK)
Our program is a mainly income based program, giving first priority to families who qualify as low income. Typically if your child would qualify for free/reduced lunch, then you would qualify for our program. There are instances when we can take families who are over the income requirement, so we encourage you to fill out the online application no matter your income. There is NO fee for our program.
Hours
Voluntary PreK hours for the 2023-2024 school year will be 7:45-1:45. Your child will need to be dropped off at 7:45 and picked up at 1:45. PreK students can not ride buses to or from school.
Before and after school care is not provided for PreK students.
Qualification
Students must be 4 by August 15, 2023 to qualify for the 2023-2024 VPK program and meet income guidelines provided by the State. You must fill out an application and include all requested documentation.
Registration
Registration is open, but our program is currently full. We will add your child to a waiting list.
You can use this link to find the online application. https://bit.ly/3bdZzOv
When you register you will need to include the following:
proof of income (paystub for all adults living in the home or a recent tax document showing Gross Income),
proof of residency (current electric/water bill or a mortgage/lease statement. We cannot except cellphone or cable bills.),
your child's birth certificate (not the Mother's copy).
Filling out an application does not guarantee your child a place in the program.
