Angela Barnes

Welcome to Wilson Elementary! 

 

This is my fourth year of being the principal at Wilson.  I have taught here since the school opened in 2001. I began my career at Roy Waldron School, teaching third grade for three years before moving to Wilson.   I taught kindergarten for ten years and fourth grade for three years here before moving to the assistant principal position. I was AP for four years until I was chosen to lead Wilson in 2018. 

 

I am a graduate of MTSU three times over.  I received my BS degrees in Early Childhood Education in 1998 and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 2001.  My Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision was awarded in 2012.  Needless to say, I am True Blue!

 

I have been married to my husband, Chuck, for 23 years and have two boys.  Ethan is a sophomore at  MTSU and Austin is a freshman at Siegel High School.
